Members of the Keck Hospital of USC Guild and friends had a chance to view a remarkable collection of guild members Aaron and Valerie Weiss’s vintage American and foreign luxury cars at the Celebrating the Classics, an Evening of Classic Cars, Classic Food, and Classical Music fundraiser, held on Sept. 30 at The Flying A Garage in Pasadena.
Proceeds from the event will support guild scholarships for Keck School of Medicine of USC students, and medical equipment purchases for Keck Hospital of USC. This year, the guild gave $10,000 to support the organization’s three scholarships: the Darlene Reid Scholarship Fund, the Cassandra Brosnan Scholarship Fund and the Celebrate Scholarship Fund.
The evening included live classical music; a welcome by Vivian Gumbiner, guild president; and remarks by Tom Jackiewicz, senior vice president and CEO for USC Health, and Caitlin Bertelsen and Antonio Olivarez, Keck Hospital of USC Guild Scholarships recipients. The event raised more than $12,000 for the guild.
