Department of Medicine

Medicine

Welcome to the Department of Medicine.  As the largest department of USC, we have made significant contributions to the University's expansion, and hope to continue our success through consistent implementation of our tripartite mission focusing on research, clinical care and educational programs.

We continually seek to conduct cutting-edge, internationally recognized research, provide exceptional and compassionate patient care, and offer a comprehensive training program for medical students and residents in Internal Medicine and the subspecialties.

Our creative and dedicated faculty has proved to be the key to our productivity and success.  Currently, our strategic recruitment plans for the future include national searches for top-level faculty as we have expanded our clinical operations with the opening of the new LAC+USC Medical Center, along with USC Norris Cancer Hospital and Keck Hospital.
