Dr. David E. Millett
Dr.David Millett, M.D., Ph.D., is the Director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Program at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center where he also serves as Co-Chief of the Acute Neurology Service and Chair of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Committee. After completing his undergraduate studies in biological sciences at UCLA, Dr. Millett attended the University of Chicago under the NIH Medical Scientist Training Program, obtaining his M.D. and Ph.D. in 2001. He completed his residency in Neurology at UCLA in addition to a dedicated 2-year fellowship in Epilepsy and Electroencephalography. In 2007, Dr. Millett joined the Department of Neurology at USC, and accepted a full-time position as Physician Specialist at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center (RLA). He established an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Seizure Disorder Clinic at RLA in 2007. He has overseen the growth of the Epilepsy Monitoring Program and EEG Laboratory at RLA in addition to clinical activities at LAC+USC. Dr. Millett is currently completing an NIH-funded book on the history of electroencephalography and its impact on clinical neuroscience. He is actively involved in numerous research activities including the relationship between neurocysticercosis and epilepsy, internet-based application for teaching and training in electroencephalography, and the application of novel MRI imaging techniques in the surgical evaluation of patients with intractable epilepsy. Most recently, Dr. Millett was awarded the Earl I. Feldhorn Pediatric Epilepsy Faculty Award at USC.
