Research

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology continues to perform clinical research in all areas of the specialty. The basic areas of research include: contraception, menopause, and infection. In 2001 the department had 13 principal investigators with 34 protocols funded by a variety of sponsors. The total research funding was $4,062,651.
