The Department of Physiology and Biophysics has a tradition of achieving excellence in research and in teaching, and in developing leaders in the scientific community. We are committed to continuing this tradition both today and into the future.
Faculty members in the Department play leading roles in the research and teaching activities of the Keck School of Medicine. Our Department members have won numerous awards, both national and University-wide, in both of these areas, and they are regularly invited to present seminars and plenary lectures at universities and conferences throughout the US and overseas. Department faculty members serve on many national and international scientific committees, often in leadership roles.
We welcome you to browse through the Department web pages on this site, and to learn more about our accomplishments and our ongoing activities.
