Hidekazu Tsukamoto, D.V.M., Ph.D. Funded in 1999 by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), the Southern California Research Center for ALPD and Cirrhosis is a collaborative effort among the leaders in the study of alcoholic liver and pancreatic diseases in the Los Angeles area. Key Center researchers are academically affiliated with such renowned institutions such as the University of Southern California (USC), University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Research center is supported by grants (P50 AA011999 and R24 AA012885) from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and by the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California and provides Unique Scientific Services that Supports Scientists around the world

The Center provides unique expertise to the scientific community through its Core Services. The Animal Core provides the rodent models of intragastric ethanol infusion (IEI) as well as animal models for cirrhosis. The Non-parenchymal Liver Cell Core provides freshly isolated or cultured Kupffer, hepatic and sinusoidal endothelial cells. More Information and Fee Schedules
