Dr. Jacob's research interests include genetics and pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). He continues his groundbreaking work in discovering and characterizing new genes important to the development of SLE.

Dr. Jacob earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University, Sackler School of Medicine. He then went on to complete graduate school at The Weizmann Institute of Science, followed by a Rheumatology Fellowship at Stanford University School of Medicine.
