Christopher Forest, MSHS, DFAAPA, PA-C, is a graduate of the USC PA Program, Class of 1983. He began teaching at the program as adjunct faculty in 1990 and was brought on as full-time faculty member in 2007 with an appointment as Assistant Professor of Clinical Family Medicine.

He has 10 years’ experience in Family Medicine/Urgent care, working in low-income, underserved areas. He also has 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical research in Urology, conducting over 100 randomized controlled clinical trials. Professor Forest is often invited to give presentations at local and national medical conferences.

He is course director and teaches the Behavioral Sciences I and II courses as well as the final Capstone research project. The students call him “coach” for his work in preparing them for yearly state and national medical knowledge Challenge Bowl competitions. He reinstituted service learning as part of the curriculum, which reflects his dedication to preparing our students to work with the underserved.

He mentors students for journal publication, works with the interprofessional Student-Run Clinic downtown near Skid Row, and serves the University as Chair of the USC Interprofessional Education Collaborative.
