David Alan Ginsberg, MD is a native Southern Californian who earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of California at Berkeley. He subsequently returned to Los Angeles where he completed medical school and urology residency at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and its affiliated hospital, Los Angeles County Medical Center. Dr. Ginsberg finished his training at UCLA where he completed a fellowship focused on female urology, voiding dysfunction and urologic reconstruction.

Dr. Ginsberg is board certified in Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Urology and is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to his faculty appointment at USC, Dr. Ginsberg is Chief of Urology at Rancho Los Amigo National Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Ginsberg’s clinical practice is focused on female pelvic medicine, which includes urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, neurogenic bladder and male voiding dysfunction.

Dr. Ginsberg’s present research interests focus on lower urinary tract reconstruction in spinal cord injury patients, urologic applications of botulinum toxin and long-term follow-up issues for patients with neurogenic bladder. Dr. Ginsberg is the author or co-author of over 70 peer-reviewed articles, numerous book chapters and is a regular reviewer for journals such as Journal of Urology, Urology, Neurourology & Urodynamics and Neurosurgery. He has held several visiting professorships and has been invited to lecture on multiple occasions throughout the United States and the world. He is on the urological editorial board for Medscape and was a member of the American Urological Association/American Board of Urology Exam Committee. Dr. Ginsberg is a present member of the American Urological Association Stress Incontinence Guidelines Panel.
