Overview

Dr. Parham works as the Chief of Anatomic Pathology at CHLA and Professor of Pathology at USC. Previously he was Director of Pediatric Pathology at the Oklahoma Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. In the past he has also been President of the Society for Pediatric Pathology and founding Chairman of the Pathology Discipline Committee of the Children’s Oncology Group, and he has worked with the World Health Organization, Food and Drug Administration, and International Pediatric Pathology Association. In the past he was Director of Pediatric Pathology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Vice Chair and Professor of Pathology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock AR, and Associate Member in Pathology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center, Memphis, TN. Dr. Parham received his MD and completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis. He then completed fellowship training in anatomic pathology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York, New York. He has co-authored over 200 original articles, 33 book chapters, and 36 review articles, and he has edited two textbooks on diagnostic pediatric pathology. Most of his work has centered on pediatric sarcomas, other pediatric neoplasms, and childhood infections.
