Vice Chair of Education
Jennifer Maniscalco is a Pediatric Hospitalist at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), and Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. She currently serves at the Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Pediatrics and the Director of the CHLA Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) Fellowship Program. As such, she is active in the institution’s educational programs for medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty. Dr. Maniscalco has been a leader in the field of pediatric hospital medicine and medical education, having served as the Co-Editor of the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Core Competencies and promoted the development of PHM fellowship training programs nationally. As Chair of the PHM Education Task Force, she was actively involved in planning and executing national educational curricula, conferences, and mentoring programs for trainees at all levels and faculty. As a member of the National Pediatric Nighttime Education Steering Group, she earned the 2012 Academic Pediatric Association’s Ray E. Helfer Award for Innovation in Medical Education.
