Overview

Joseph Ouzounian, MD is a Professor at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and Chief of the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He is also Vice Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Ouzounian received his MD degree from USC, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology and his fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at USC. Dr. Ouzounian is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. At the University he is actively involved in research, teaching, and clinical practice. He has published extensively in scholarly medical journals and textbooks on topics in high risk obstetrics and perinatal medicine.

As part of Keck Medicine of USC and the USC Perinatal Group, Dr. Ouzounian provides patients prenatal diagnosis, first trimester and second trimester genetic screening, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), obstetric ultrasound, and consultative management of high-risk pregnancies. He is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Pacific Coast Obstetrical and Gynecological Society.
