Overview

Dr. Dara is an NIH funded physician-scientist and a general gastroenterologist. She provides consultation for general GI disorders including abdominal pain, acid reflux disease, GI blood loss and performs endoscopies and colonoscopies on the in patient service at Keck Hospital. Her research focuses mainly on disorders of the liver including drug induced liver injury and acute liver failure.

Dr. Dara earned her medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. She then served as chief resident at Griffin Hospital and then completed her fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at LAC+USC Medical Center.
