Overview

After completing residency, chief residency and serving as Associate Residency Director at the University of Texas – Houston, I wanted to continue my role in medical education in the west. Being from New York, I knew Los Angeles was where I would eventually continue my academic career (and having been a film studies major in college – the area is idyllic for its rich motion picture history). I knew that education of residents would be best at an institution where the diverse pathology was paramount, and that USC would be the ideal environment to teach clinical medicine. In addition, our institution and our patients always drive me to learn and help residents investigate the evidence behind what we do.

Current research interests include medical education, evaluation and feedback methods, and curriculum design.
