Dr. Gibbs specializes in spine imaging and intervention with special interests in spine oncology, cerebrospinal fluid dynamics and advanced imaging.
In medical school, Dr. Gibbs was awarded a National Institutes of Health research scholarship and graduated from medical school with special honors in research. She has authored and coauthored a number of peer-reviewed publications and eight book chapters. She has been an invited speaker at multiple national meetings for radiology, neuroradiology, and neurosurgery including the American Society or Neuroradiology, Radiologic Society of North America, American Spine Society, and Los Angeles Radiological Society. In addition she has presented multiple award winning education exhibits, talks, and posters at national meetings. She is a reviewer for the American Journal of Neuroradiology, American Journal of Roentgenology, Radiographics and Neurographics. Dr. Gibbs is also interested in medical education and professionalism and ethics. She serves on the American Board of Radiology Core Committee and has previously served on the California Medical Association Council on Ethical Affairs and University of California, Irvine Medical Ethics Committee.
