About the Division

First, the clinical experience in Transplant Infectious Diseases is complemented by existing General ID and Orthopedic ID Consultation Services at two private university hospitals (Keck Hospital and Norris Hospital), serving patients who require highly specialized surgical and medical care. The second involves the very busy ID Consult Services at Los Angeles General Medical Center Medical Center, which provide care to the underserved population of Los Angeles, many of whom are recent immigrants and travelers who bring from their home countries infections not routinely seen in the United States. The third component involves robust opportunities for clinical experience and research in HIV Medicine at the Los Angeles General Medical Center Rand Schrader HIV Clinic which provides patient-centered primary and specialty care for over 2,000 HIV-infected individuals.
