Kenneth Kleinberg Uses His Showbiz Ties to Save Lives

Variety’s first Power of Law honoree has made it his cause to support and grow the USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center

High-profile Hollywood lawyer Kenneth Kleinberg is profiled for his work with the University Kidney Research Organization, a nonprofit he helped establish with Keck Medicine of USC physician Vito M. Campese, MD, in 2002 to help raise money to support kidney disease research. The organization in 2012 joined with Keck School of Medicine of USC to jointly establish the USC/UKRO Kidney Research Center, with the goal of raising $35 million to $50 million to further kidney treatment and research.
