Lilyana Amezcua, MD, assistant professor of clinical neurology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, and her colleagues recently won an award at the 2016 Annual Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers for a platform presentation of their short film project.

Dentro de Mi is an eight-minute film featuring Hispanic patients and their perceptions of multiple sclerosis (MS). The short film, which aims to raise MS awareness and foster cultural sensitivity, was recognized in the Platform category for “Best in Patient and Family Care.”

Amezcua also was featured in an article in Momentum Magazine that discusses her training and research interests, particularly focusing on her work with Latinos with MS.
