Description

Instruction at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center offers the orthopaedic trauma fellow advanced training in the management of orthopaedic trauma, particularly severe multiple traumas. The fellow works with faculty and residents in busy clinics and operating rooms, gaining expertise in numerous areas of trauma, including AO internal fixation, external fixation, functional fracture bracing and closed intramedullary nailing techniques. Fellow will also participate in management of elective trauma at Keck Hospital of USC.

Fellows are expected to engage in clinical and/or basic science research and will be responsible for a thesis at the end of the fellowship.

Applying for the Trauma Fellowship

The fellowship is open to board-eligible orthopaedic or general surgeons. A valid California medical license is required. We fill this fellowship via the San Francisco Matching Program (SF Match). The application deadline is November 1 each year.
