About the Division

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine (PCCSM) provides a vigorous, creative basic and clinical science core, with an active clinical service and a high-quality fellowship training program. The Division provides services at all three Health Sciences Campus teaching hospitals: LAC+USC Medical Center (LAC+USC), Keck Hospital of USC and USC Norris Cancer Hospital. Our nationally and internationally recognized full-time faculty members share the combined research, clinical and teaching mission.

Analysis: Primary tumor location predicts treatment response in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer

A retrospective analysis of data from the CALGB/SWOG 80405 clinical trial revealed that in patients with metastatic colorectal cancer, the location of the primary tumor predicts the patient’s response to various treatment strategies for the disease.
