About the Department of Anesthesiology
Charting a patient’s safe passage through the operative experience and beyond
The Department of Anesthesiology provides state-of-the-art-care for patients undergoing all types of surgical procedures. Because the discipline has become so specialized, we have subspecialty/fellowship trained anesthesia faculty available in areas such as cardiac, critical care, neuroanesthesia, organ transplantation, pain medicine and trauma.

The mission of the Department of Anesthesiology is to advance the Keck School of Medicine of USC by providing the highest quality anesthesiology training programs, the highest quality patient care, and by advancing the field of anesthesiology through our educational and research efforts.
