Curriculum and Didactics

The Keck School of Medicine of USC Anesthesiology Residency Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education

Our residents receive unparalleled anesthesia, critical care, and pain medicine education. This education stems from interactions with expert faculty educators, world-class researchers, highly skilled surgeons who perform advanced surgical procedures, and outstanding co-residents, taking on some of the country’s most complex cases and sickest patients. Keck Hospital ranks #8 in the Vizient system, while Norris Cancer Hospital ranks #2. At our community-based hospitals, residents will work with community-based anesthesiologists who will teach high volume rapid turnover anesthesia.

Residents passionate about making a difference beyond the traditional clinical setting will have a unique opportunity to participate in global health. Global health elective program provides hands-on experience in diverse healthcare environments through partnerships with international hospitals and health organizations. Residents are encouraged to engage in meaningful projects that address critical health issues in underserved communities both in Los Angeles and more broadly, allowing them to contribute to impactful change on a global scale.
