This event is a part of the GEMS Spring ‘26 Workshop Series

Participants in this workshop will be provided an overview of the key principles of mentorship and an experiential component with a hands-on worksheet to define a clear career mission statement that translates that vision into actionable goals.

The speakers will first provide a brief description of the Department of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Science unique Mentorship Program, background on mentoring, discussing the purpose, benefits, and boundaries of mentorship. The session will then shift to a focused, interactive workshop that guides participants through a process of creating a career mission statement, conducting a personal SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis and establishing meaningful goals.
