Flesh and Bones: The Art of Anatomy – the Making of an Exhibition

Join us for a conversation with Monique Kornell, PhD. Monique Kornell is an art historian concerned with the evolution of the anatomical print and the bibliography of the history of medicine, specializing in anatomical book illustration and anatomy books for artists. This talk will revisit the 2022 exhibition at the Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles, and themes of the representation of the body over the course of five hundred years from the rise of new visual maps of the human form in the Renaissance to the present day. The event will take place on Thursday, February 8th from 12-1pm at McKibben Hall 156.
