Laryngeal Videostroboscopy and Fees course
The USC Voice Center Laryngeal Videostroboscopy and FEES course is a hands-on workshop designed for Speech-Language Pathologists who are interested in performing laryngeal videostroboscopy and flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). The course includes didactic and hands-on laboratory sessions. Participants will receive 6 hours of didactic instruction and 6 hours of hands-on training in performing and interpreting laryngeal videostroboscopy and FEES. Participants will complete a minimum of 10 FEES procedures supervised by an otolaryngologist as part of the 25 procedures required by the state of California. Participants will not complete 25 FEES procedures during this workshop.
The tuition for the full course with hands-on workshop is $680. Tuition includes the virtual didactic sessions and the hands-on workshop. The tuition for the virtual didactics session, with no hands-on component, is $225. The virtual sessions include common pathologies of the voice and swallowing, FEES, laryngeal videostroboscopy evaluation of the voice, hands-on techniques for rigid and flexible endoscopy, and laryngeal surgery pre- and post-op: What to Expect.
