Mentorship Workshop

This event is a part of the GEMS Workshop Series with Tom Kosakowski.
Mentorship plays a vital role in personal and professional development—but what does it truly mean to be a mentor or mentee? This workshop, led by Tom Kosakowski, JD, explores the foundations of effective mentoring relationships, beginning with a clear definition of mentorship—what it is, what it isn’t—and how to set realistic and meaningful expectations. Participants will learn practical strategies for establishing, maintaining, and nurturing impactful mentoring connections over time. The session will also address how to manage conflict within these relationships to ensure open communication and mutual growth.
Whether you’re new to mentorship or looking to deepen your experience, this workshop offers valuable tools to build strong, supportive partnerships.
This program is open to all eligible individuals. Keck School of Medicine of USC operates all of its programs and activities consistent with the University’s Notice of Non-Discrimination. Eligibility is not determined based on race, sex, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or any other prohibited factor.
