Dr. Max Wintermark is a neuroradiologist specializing in advanced brain imaging techniques. He is currently a Professor and Chair of Neuroradiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He earned his medical degree from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland and completed neuroradiology training at the University of California, San Francisco. His work focuses on using neuroimaging to study conditions such as stroke, brain tumors, traumatic brain injury, and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Wintermark has also held academic roles at Stanford University and the University of Virginia, contributing to clinical practice and research in neuroradiology. Dr. Wintermark presently serves as the President of the American Society of Neuroradiology and the Editor-in-Chief of the American Journal of Neuroradiology.
