Elder abuse affects one in 10 older adults each year\, yet it remains widely underrecognized — and World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD)\, observed every June 15th\, is a global call to action for elder abuse prevention and elder justice. \nThe National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is hosting the Health & Action for WEAAD Movement Challenge from May 1st through June 15th.
