Krishna Nayak, PhD<\/strong> is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Southern California (USC), with joint appointments in Biomedical Engineering and Radiology. He directs the Magnetic Resonance Engineering Laboratory, the Signal and Image Processing Institute and the Dynamic Imaging Science Center.<\/p>\n

Dr. Nayak has published more than 150 journal papers, 450 conference papers, and holds 10 US patents, establishing him an expert in the development and clinical translation of novel MRI technology, specifically those that involve pulse sequences, data sampling and reconstruction, and artifact mitigation. His current projects include high-performance low-field MRI, imaging around metallic implants, novel applications of real-time MRI, cardio-pulmonary imaging, and the use of sparse sampling to produce more precise imaging biomarkers.<\/p>\n
