Abou-el-Enein\n      <\/h2>\n\n\n<\/div>\n      \n                  \n<div class=\"f--field f--description description-medium\">\n\n    \n  <p>Dr. Abou-el-Enein holds multiple leadership roles at USC and CHLA, including being the inaugural Executive Director of the USC\/CHLA Cell Therapy Program, Director of the USC\/CHLA cGMP laboratory and CHLA GMP core processing facility. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine (Oncology) with various academic appointments at USC, and a Member of USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research lab is dedicated to improving the safety, effectiveness, and accessibility of cellular immunotherapies through multiplex gene engineering. Dr. Abou-el-Enein chairs the Oversight Committee of the Cell Therapy Program and works with other leaders at USC and CHLA to establish the overall vision for the program and its core capabilities, including the cGMP laboratory, with the goal of enhancing the culture of translational cell therapy research at USC and CHLA and supporting the translation of pre-clinical work into clinical
