Our continuing medical education programs emphasize new technology, procedures and research findings.

The Postgraduate Education Division of the Keck School of Medicine offers continuing medical education (CME) for physicians, nurses and physician assistants. We are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). Our programs serve about 18,000 health professionals annually, and include symposia, courses, grand rounds, printed newsletters and other media-based formats. Selected programs are also offered in Spanish.

Community providers face challenges in keeping up with relevant medical literature because of the volume of new research published monthly in medical and scientific journals. We are currently working with consultants from USC’s Information Sciences Institute and Annenberg School of Communication to explore increasing opportunities for self-directed education including online course offerings.
