- David H. Peng, MD, MPH was elected to the American Dermatological Association
- Vince DeLeo, MD was selected to the ACGME residency review committee
- NIH research grants awarded to Drs. Chen, Li and Woodley, totaling over $2.62 millions (direct plus indirect costs) in 2013
- 12 peer-reviewed publications in various journals
- 100 percent boards pass rate in residency program
- Lotus Tissue Repair, formed by Professors David Woodley and Mei Chen, was acquired by Shire Human Genetic Therapeutics, a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on treating Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa (DEB) patients for approximately $50 million, initial payment with added success milestones that could total an additional $275 million.
