Health Through<br \/>\nEducation, Research &amp; Care<\/h2>\n<p class=\"large\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Department of Dermatology brings together world experts in adult and pediatric dermatology. Our core <a href=\"https:\/\/keck.usc.edu\/dermatology\/research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">research areas<\/a> include inflammatory skin disease, cutaneous oncology, gene therapy for recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, <a href=\"https:\/\/keck.usc.edu\/dermatology\/patient-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)<\/a>, and diabetic wound healing. We collaborate regularly with the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center on melanoma and skin cancer research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1 large\"><span class=\"s1\">Our <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">three-year <a href=\"https:\/\/keck.usc.edu\/dermatology\/training-education\/residency-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clinical residency<\/a> <\/span>trains physicians across Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Medicine of USC, Children&#8217;s Hospital Los Angeles, and the Los Angeles VA Clinic.
