Dr. Paul Simon is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Epidemiology at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Simon received his MD from the University of Michigan School of Medicine and his MPH in Epidemiology from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He completed a two-year fellowship in field epidemiology with the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS Program) at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). He then served as a Medical Epidemiologist in the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention at the CDC before joining the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health where he served in various leadership positions, including Director of the Office of Health Assessment and Epidemiology, Director of the Division of Chronic Disease and Injury Prevention, and the Department’s Chief Science Officer. Dr. Simon is board certified in pediatrics and preventive medicine.
