Mitzi D'Aquila, MACM, PA-C is a faculty member at the Primary Care Physician Assistant Program at USC after completing her Master of Academic Medicine from the Keck School of Medicine of USC in 2014. She originally had joined the clinical education team as Clinical Coordinator in 2010 and is currently the course director of Clinical Skills I and co-directs the clinical year courses and the senior semester Clinical Skills IV. In May 2017, she was promoted to the Director of Clinical Education.
Her clinical background includes more than 10 years of experience in pediatric hospital medicine at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach and Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Prior to graduating from the USC PA Program in 2001, she was a Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) participant. She has two peer reviewed publications and over 10 national, state or invited presentations. She has been appointed the Chair of the Student Progress Committee in 2015. She continues to be a member of the California Academy of Physician Assistants and was on their Board of Directors for over five years. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Physician Assistants in Pediatrics.
