He is board-certified in neurology and a diplomat from the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology, and was recently honored the title of Fellow of the American Clinical Neurophysiological Society.
Dr. Gonzalez directs the Surgical Neurophysiology Program at the Keck Hospital of USC and the LAC+USC Medical Center. He is an assistant professor in clinical neurology and the chief of the Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring and sleep program at USC. He is also the co-director of the neurology residency program. His clinical and research program focuses in three main areas: brain mapping, Intraoperative Neurophysiology, and brain implants.
