Dr. Jon Roper is the current global health fellow for the Emergency Department at Los Angeles County-Keck School of Medicine. His current areas of career focus are on emergency medicine training program development in lower and middle income countries, and the necessary policies, systems, and educational frameworks necessary to make such endeavors successful. He has spent time on education and training development in Nepal, Haiti, Vietnam, and Malawi, with a current focus on the emergency medicine residency at the University Hospital in Mirebalais in conjunction with Partners in Health and Zanmi Lasante. He is also pursuing a degree in Public Health at the Keck School of Medicine, with a focus on quantitative and qualitative biostatistics and epidemiology as well as global health policy implementation.
