Reema Syed, MBBS, earned her medical degree at Aga Khan University in Pakistan. Following medical school, she went to University of California, San Francisco to research the use of adaptive optics scanning laser ophthalmoscopy to study photoreceptors in inherited retinal degenerations. Syed pursued her residency training in ophthalmology at University of Louisville School of Medicine in Kentucky. Her research interests include novel retinal imaging and retinal structure-function correlation. Her clinical interests include posterior uveitis and complex retinal detachment repair. When not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
