Sivers-Teixiera’s clinical practice is focused on partnering with older adults and their families to provide quality care that reflects the preferences and goals of her patients. She works collaboratively with her colleagues to help her patients stay active, prevent illness, manage chronic disease, and plan for the future.
Past experience includes working as a PA on the neurology and internal medicine teams at Rancho Los Amigos serving stroke survivors. She played a key role in the design and implementation of NIH secondary stroke prevention study, SUCCEED, and was the lead care manager for the intervention arm for the project.
She has additional training in clinical care of older adult with Alzheimer’s disease and other major neurocognitive disorders. She is currently a faculty member with the Interprofessional Geriatrics Curriculum (IPGC) at USC, where health care professional students from multiple disciplines visit older adults in their residences and learn about team care.
