Overview

After receiving his medical degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in 2005, Dr.Tomasian completed a 2-year research fellowship in Diagnostic Cardiovascular Imaging at UCLA followed by Internal Medicine Internship at Yale New Haven Hospital-Saint Raphael Campus.

Dr.Tomasian completed his Radiology residency and Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention fellowship at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He joined USC as Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology in 2015. Dr.Tomasian has co-authored over 40 journal articles and presented over 70 scientific and educational research topics in national and international meetings.

Dr.Tomasian's main interests are in minimally invasive percutaneous treatment of benign and malignant tumors of bone, spine, and soft tissues utilizing vertebral augmentation and sacroplasty as well as thermal ablation including radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, and microwave ablation. He also enjoys bone and soft tissue biopsies, MRI in sports medicine, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
