Overview

Joanne Suh, MD is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine, and Program Director for Keck Medicine Family Medicine Residency Program.

She received her undergraduate degree from Brown University and medical degree from USC Keck School of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Harbor-UCLA, followed by a Chief Resident year where she completed a Transforming Primary Care and Faculty Development Fellowship.

Prior to joining the Keck Department of Family Medicine, Dr. Suh served as Medical Director at the largest Los Angeles County-Department of Health Services residency primary care clinic at LAC-USC Medical Center. There, she helped design and implement integrated, team-based care to address social determinants of health and to provide comprehensive whole-person care. She cares deeply about serving the many diverse communities of Los Angeles, treating her patients in the context of their community and lived experiences, and training the next generation of family physicians.

She sees patients at the Healthcare Center 2 Family Medicine Clinic and participates in Street Rounds with the Keck School of Medicine’s Street Medicine program. A proud Los Angeles native, she speaks Spanish and Korean.
