Information<\/h2>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Division<\/span> of Integrative Anatomical Sciences selects highly-qualified students for admission into its Master of Science program in Human Anatomical Sciences. The prerequisite for applicants to the MS program is a bachelor\u2019s degree with a science major or equivalent. Applicants should have a superior undergraduate record at an accredited college or university, with a minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0. Generally required courses include at least one year of college-level biology, one year of college-level physics, and mathematics through calculus. Criteria considered include:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Academic Preparation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Applicant demonstrates academic preparation and skillset that equips them well for graduate coursework and research.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Resilience and Adaptability<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Applicant demonstrates ability to meet challenges, overcome obstacles, and\/or to take in new information\/events and adjust accordingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Contributions to Community Diversity<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Applicant has the potential to contribute to diversity in the anatomical sciences as evidenced by life experiences (including participation in outreach or broadening participation programs) and educational background (e.g. non-traditional paths).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b>Leadership and Teamwork<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Applicant demonstrates maturity through clear communication, ability to work collaboratively and as part of a team, strong organizational skills, and\/or ability to juggle multiple tasks at once.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We acknowledge the UC Davis Graduate Group in Ecology\u2019s holistic review model.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<h2 data-fontsize=\"45.6\" data-lineheight=\"68.4px\"><\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"text-align: center;\" data-fontsize=\"45.6\" data-lineheight=\"68.4px\">How to Apply<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Demonstrated proficiency in the English language is required. Foreign applicants are expected to provide results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Results from Internet-based, computer-based, or paper-based tests are acceptable. However, candidates with special circumstances may be considered for conditional admission.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-0 fusion_builder_column_2_3 2_3 fusion-two-third fusion-column-first\">\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Applicants will need to submit the following for consideration:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Three letters of recommendation from faculty members who can evaluate the applicant\u2019s potential for graduate work, teaching and\/or independent research.<\/li>\n<li>Official transcripts from all institutions attended.<\/li>\n<li>TOEFL scores (if applicable).<\/li>\n<li>Statement of Purpose \u2013 Applicants should describe why they are pursuing a MS degree in Integrative Anatomical Sciences, and how such a degree will further their career goals. Although research is not a requirement of the MS IAS Program, if applicants are interested in conducting research as an elective course, they should specify their research interests, their previous research experience, and with which IAS faculty members they would be interested in working.<\/li>\n<li>Answers to the following application questions:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol type=\"A\">\n<li>Describe your motivation for pursuing a MS degree in Integrative Anatomical Sciences (150-300 words).<\/li>\n<li>Describe your preparation for entering a MS degree program. What courses have you taken that have prepared you for advanced training in anatomical sciences (e.g., human anatomy and physiology, embryology, biology, evolutionary biology, biological anthropology, neuroscience)? Describe any extracurricular experiences (e.g., volunteer work, employment) that have prepared you for a MS degree in anatomical sciences (200-300 words).<\/li>\n<li>Describe your intended career path, explain how a MS degree in anatomical sciences will assist you in reaching your career goals, and describe why the MS IAS Program at USC is an ideal fit (200-300 words).<\/li>\n<li>Optional \u2013 Do you have life experiences that have shaped your personal development in ways that could contribute to increasing community diversity? (200-300 words, OPTIONAL)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Progressive Degree Applicants<br \/>\n<\/strong>Current undergraduates at USC may apply to the IAS Masters Program as a progressive degree.
