About the Division

Sitting at the crossroads of clinical medicine and public health, the Division of Global Emergency Medicine strives to improve and disseminate quality, transnational evidence on best practices with regards to the health of vulnerable populations. We do this through the unique clinical lens of emergency physicians with expertise in population health, research, policy, and education.

Global Emergency Medicine Residency Initiatives

Our division prioritizes the support of the teaching and service mission of the USC Emergency Medicine Residency, one of the nation’s first emergency medicine residencies with a long legacy of global health involvement. Our division offers one-on-one, ongoing mentorship to residents and fellows interested in exploring careers in global health. Division faculty are involved in a wide array of research and development projects, and interested residents are invited to participate in a variety of ways.
