description-medium\">\n\n    \n  <p>The core mission of our center is to support, perform, and advance state-of-the-art kidney and related cardiovascular, hypertension, and metabolism research by bringing together investigators from multiple disciplines to work collaboratively toward improving our understanding of the intricate functions and mechanisms of the kidney in health and disease. We strive to develop treatments and cures for kidney diseases specifically, as well as for their multiple organ complications including cardiovascular kidney metabolic syndrome. To expand the kidney research community, the center will promote new faculty recruitment, the inclusion of investigators from diverse career stages and backgrounds and offer educational and training opportunities including summer student enrichment programs and provide pilot funding to facilitate novel advances in kidney research.
