AAMC Matriculating Student Questionnaire- MSQ Survey!

As of Tuesday, July 22, 2025, here is the current response rate to the 2025 AAMC Matriculating Student Questionnaire (MSQ) for Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California:

The overall national completion rate is 45.2%.

The survey is open through September 15. The next reminder from the AAMC to eligible participants will be sent on August 15.

If any students are missing their unique MSQ link, have them contact [email protected] directly.

Completing your HJSC assignments

Please refer to the email I sent on July 11th with attachments to your HJSC assignments. These assignments need to be completed by Friday August 1st . Thank you.

Applying for your USC Card (USC ID)- submit ASAP

Please make sure to submit your application for the USC Card as soon as you can if you haven’t done so already:

USCard Services

In order to apply for a USC Card, you must have a valid USC netID. The good news is that the majority of the class has their USC net ID (it is the first part of your USC email). Also when prompted, make sure to select Health Science Campus as your designated pick-up site.

If you apply now, you will be able to pick up your USC ID from Card Services during one of your designated breaks (i.e. Lunch) on Day 1 of Orientation. You will need your USC ID so that you can use the card on our attendance kiosks during our required sessions from Tuesday August 5th – Thursday August 7th of Orientation week.

RSVP: Parent-Family Orientation

Please make sure your family or parent(s) rsvp for the virtual parent-family orientation at their earliest convenience:

The orientation will have introductions from our Curriculum Office, Office of Student Engagement and Cultural Affairs, Academic and Career Advising office, and Salerni Collegium Alumni Association.

White Coat Tickets & parking info

We would like to provide you White Coat Ceremony ticket information. Each student will be allotted (6) ceremony tickets for guests which will be provided at orientation check-in on Monday, August 4th. All guests must have a ticket for entry.

If you need extra ceremony tickets or if you want to donate tickets that you will not use, please click on the link below and complete the brief form. The fulfillment of requests for extra tickets will be confirmed via email as the tickets become available, and the tickets will be distributed to you at Orientation check-in and throughout orientation week as needed.

The White Coat ceremony will be held in Bovard Auditorium, University of Southern California, 3551 Trousdale Pkwy, Los Angeles, CA 90089, on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Guest seating opens at 10:15 AM. Space in the Bovard Auditorium is limited, so we ask that you limit your requests for extra tickets to no more than 4 extra tickets. Fulfillment of all requests for extra tickets depends on availability.
