Service-Learning Reminder: Staying in Communication

You have now passed the 6-hour mid-semester mark for your Service-Learning Hours!

You all are at least halfway done with Service-Learning and many of you have already completed more than that!

As we come closer to the final 12-hour Service-Learning Deadline on April 24^th I wanted to send a reminder about staying in contact with your assigned Service-Learning Sites.

It is incredibly important to keep communication flowing with your host site – even if you are unable to make an event or service opportunity. Sending a quick email that you are unable to join an event goes a long way to ensuring that you are maintaining professionalism – even when you can’t make it in person. Additionally, if you have already finished your hours, sending an email to your site supervisor letting them know you have finished and thanking them for their work and time with you is a great way to close out your hours and keep them in the loop that you have finished.
