About the Department of Medicine

Our dedicated faculty, trainees and staff are committed to heal, educate and discover.

The Department of Medicine has seen rapid growth in recent years. Our creative and dedicated faculty has proved to be the key to our productivity and success. Currently, our strategic recruitment plans for the future include national searches for top-level faculty as we have expanded our clinical activity at Los Angeles General Medical Center, Keck Medical Center of USC and ambulatory satellites located throughout the regionSouthern California.

Remaining on the forefront of clinical innovation, the department offers leading devices, personalized treatments and specialized therapies in all 10 of its divisions. In addition to an internal medicine residency program, the department offers 15 ACGME-accredited fellowship programs in a range of specialties including advanced heart failure, transplant nephrology and sleep medicine.

Optimism abounds all that our innovative and dedicated faculty, hardworking staff and promising enthusiastic trainees will accomplish in the coming year and beyond.
