Transdisciplinary Education

We take a transdisciplinary approach to education to help students move beyond discipline-specific approaches to address a common problem. MESH offers select educational services and resources for the USC students and faculty through our Transdisciplinary Education activities.

  • Develop curricula integrating innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration
  • Advance health innovation education for undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students
  • Develop future workforce training programs

In collaboration with the USC Iovine and Young Academy (IYA), MESH developed a new Health Innovations minor for USC undergraduates that launched in the 2019-2020 academic year.

Development of a Certificate for Health Technology Innovations program for medical students at the Keck School of Medicine at USC is currently underway.

We also received a grant to develop a course on Human Health and Technology from USC Provost’s Interdisciplinary Teaching Grant Program.

We have also supported the graduate certificate in Translational and Entrepreneurship in Biomedical Sciences (TEBS) by providing students access to MESH events and networking opportunities available through our partnerships with industry and professional organizations.

Stay tuned for upcoming courses!
