My interest in public health centers on understanding how healthcare systems and policies shape patient care, particularly in reproductive and maternal health. Last summer, I completed an internship in partnership with the CDC focused on group prenatal care, where I examined its role in reducing clinician bias and fostering empathy in maternal healthcare settings, and I presented this work at an international conference. I have also conducted research with City of Hope examining postpartum depression in the African American community. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to health equity, advocacy, and providing compassionate, patientcentered care informed by both clinical practice and policy.
