Greg Kharabadze, MHA, FACHE, Senior Associate Dean, Chief Operations and Finance Officer

I am delighted to announce the appointment of Greg Kharabadze, MHA, FACHE as Senior Associate Dean, Chief Operations and Finance Officer for the Keck School of Medicine of USC, effective January 1, 2025. Mr. Kharabadze was selected from an impressive cohort of candidates in a comprehensive national search. He will report directly to me as the dean.

Mr. Kharabadze will lead operations and finance functions for the Keck School, executing on a vision for a collaborative, efficient and effective, and data-driven service organization. As a key partner and adviser to Keck School leadership, he will advance the mission, goals, and strategy of the school. As we advance our standing as an eminent academic health system, he will collaborate closely with the leadership of Keck Medicine of USC, University central administration, Los Angeles General Medical Center, and other stakeholders. His areas of oversight include budget and finance; emergency preparedness and safety; human resources; information services; marketing and communications; research administration; and space and facilities planning.

Mr. Kharabadze has a distinguished career in academic medicine administration, with expertise in strategic planning, operational excellence, and financial management. Currently, he is the Executive Director of Business Administration & Strategic Initiatives at Yale School of Medicine. In this role, he leads a team of senior directors of clinical departments and directors of finance administration, and drives the initiatives and infrastructure to deliver outstanding clinical care, research, and education. His leadership at Yale has enhanced faculty and administrative collaboration, optimized resources, and deployed a funds flow methodology to align clinical and academic enterprises. In his leadership approach, he seeks to inspire teams and foster institutional growth.

Previously, Mr. Kharabadze held leadership roles at UC San Diego Health and the Cleveland Clinic, where he directed operational and financial programs, expanded clinical services, and improved patient care delivery and operations. He holds a Master of Health Administration and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Missouri and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).
